Customer Service Leader in Waste & Recycling, Equipment Rental, Commercial Cleaning and Landscaping Solutions

The meaning of summer – a balance of relaxation and new work projects!

Summer is in full swing at BP Business Solutions – and we are always excited to celebrate one of our favorite holidays, Independence Day. And while our team is enjoying the season to its fullest with family and friends, we are fully on track helping many of our customers find the best solutions for their businesses – whether with waste and recycling solutions, equipment rental, commercial cleaning or landscaping services.

Now at the midpoint of 2018, and we would like to thank our many customers for their ongoing support and reliance on BP to provide needed services for their company.

As a reminder, the range of services that BP offers is expansive – and during this season we find our customers busier than ever, and turn to us to help run their businesses smoothly and more efficiently as our expertise truly runs the full gamut. Summer is time of construction projects, and our BP Works division partners with clients to get needed equipment to job sites. Our BP Creative division has ramped up commercial cleaning services and added in commercial landscaping services. And just one example of a need we fill through our cornerstone BP Environmental division (with a focus on dumpsters and waste removal services), are porta-potty rentals for any occasion – whether for employees on a jobsite, for an elegant outdoor entertainment affair, or anything in between.

BP’s Support of the Travis Manion Foundation

BP Business Solutions continues to focus on giving back to the community, most recently by committing to an annual sponsorship with the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF).

This outstanding Foundation is a Veterans Service Organization that empowers Veterans and families of the fallen (Gold Star Families) to develop character in future generations.

Headquartered in Doylestown, PA with seven offices throughout the country, Travis Manion Foundation is led by Veterans and survivors who stand as leaders and role models. By channeling the profound value that the military community brings to the next generation, TMF establishes a strong and unified national identity built on character, leadership, and service.

April means Earth Day

You now know that the 50th anniversary of Earth Day is coming in 2020. But here is something you might not know: each year Earth Day has a special theme.

In 2016, the theme was Trees for the Earth, with an ambitious goal – to plant 7.8 billion trees across the globe by Earth Day 2020. (That’s one tree for every person on Earth, as of Earth Day 2016!)  In 2017, the theme was Environmental and Climate Literacy.

The theme for Earth Day 2018 is “End Plastic Pollution.”  From poisoning and injuring marine life to disrupting human hormones, from littering our beaches and landscapes to clogging our waste streams and landfills, the exponential growth of plastics is now threatening the survival of our planet.

So what does Earth Day mean to those of us at BP? As mentioned earlier, we do our part as every member of our staff has an eye to the environment.

  • Within our Environmental Group, we help clients remove unwanted trash and debris, and specialize in the safe disposal of hazardous materials (such as e-waste); this division also works with clients who need help developing recycling and composting solutions.
  • BP has expanded its focus on commercial cleaning, and we offer a wide range of environmentally-friendly cleaning solutions and cleaning methods that help reduce the use of toxic and harmful chemicals. This also makes the workplace safer for our clients and their customers.

These are just some of the many examples of what goes on within BP.  Know that BP looks to do all that we can to preserve the Earth’s environment year-round, and not just on Earth Day itself.  We hope you join us with a vision to healthier living for all future generations to come. Together, we all really CAN make a difference.

Celebrate American Presidents All Month Long

Presidents Day this year is February 19th – and the history of President’s Day is quite interesting.  While right now the country’s 45th Commander-in-Chief is in the White House – the fun fact we like to share is that here have only been 44 Presidents. Why? Because Grover Cleveland is counted twice as both our 22nd and 24th President, since he was elected for two nonconsecutive terms.

Each year, Presidents Day is celebrated on the third Monday in February, but there still is some debate as to what exactly this holiday is. Many consider it a day to recognize all presidents, past and present. Others consider it a celebration of certain key presidents, such as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

The holiday we now call Presidents Day first came to be as an unofficial holiday. It started on February 22, 1880 – this date was George Washington’s birthday and was just two months after his death. It wasn’t until 1879 when the day became a federal holiday; President Rutherford B. Hayes signed it into law. Six years late it became a “national bank holiday” (according to the History Channel), and was the first bank holiday to celebrate an individual.

However you choose to celebrate Presidents Day, we hope you stop and appreciate all the amazing history of our country.  Have a wonderful February!

Welcome to 2018 and the new year!

A happy new year to everyone, and we hope that 2018 will be happy, healthy, and productive for your family and your company.

2017 was another busy year for BP, and as we all reflect on the past twelve months and everything we have accomplished we are thankful in so many ways. We continued to expand and grow, as we have added on additional lines of business. We are also thrilled to have added many new talented individuals to our team – in so many ways, it is the people of BP that makes our company unique and sets us apart from the competition.

Community support is another area where we continue to focus much of our attention and efforts. We continued to support many community causes that are important to our employees, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County, and Cancer Support Community of Greater Philadelphia. We also support educational institutions, and support other foundations that are tied to BP. We will share more about these causes that are important to the company and our employees in the coming months!

We are excited for all that 2018 has to offer, and know it will be another terrific year. In about nine months we will mark our official 20th anniversary since the founding of BP – you will hear more about this as the big day draws closer. To say that it is an exciting time for the company is an understatement.

Happy New Year and here’s to a great 2018 from all of us at BP!
